Optimisations and polishing
Hey folks, well it's been an amazing 24 hours since publishing this little experimental game. It has been very well received and I'm grateful for the feedback so far - it's very encouraging.
I've just published a new build of the game, which has some heavy optimisations to address issues some players experienced with lag, especially on Windows machines. I hope that is solves them!
I've also done some polishing on the UI front. The title screen is less cluttered, as I am concerned that some players may be negatively affected by the glitchy/flashing effects. They are now gone, and the title screen is much cleaner. The story and image selection screen is now a bit nicer, with a little demon pixel art sprite that I drew and shaded using the Pixel Art Stylizer tool that I released earlier this week. A few tweaks to the gameplay UI as well, just to get the log UI and mini map to fit better.
I hope that you enjoy it and thanks for playing! There will be many updates in the coming days and weeks - please stay tuned.
Regards,
Tim
